Who am I?

Hi there!

My name is Charissa Isidro. I'm a Filipina-American journalist dedicated to promoting a human rights-centered approach to reporting that informs the public on politics and policies that affect real people.

As a woman of color and an immigrant, I'm especially interested in exploring the intersections of immigration and foreign policy in this particularly charged political climate and the stories of people who live it – stories that are too often silenced and left out of mainstream media.

Now I'm a graphics production assistant at MSNBC hoping to make the next big move. Currently based in New York but you can ask me about Berlin and London. Proud member of Gabriela-NY and operate social media for @AsianCineVision on the side. A writer first, but will absolutely geek out over a  well-designed and visually-engaging multimedia platform with quality content.

Talk to me about story ideas or collaborating!
